Nicol David tries out the Web Station at CIMB’s Café@banking Launch.
Kuala Lumpur – Barely two weeks after winning her eighth successive WISPA World Tour at the CIMB Singapore Masters 2008, World Champion Datuk Nicol David, turned up at the Old Town White Coffee Cafe at Menara Hap Seng to launch CIMB Bank’s Café@bank. Accompanying her to launch the event was CIMB Group chief executive Datuk Seri Nazir Razak and his wife Datin Seri Azlina Aziz together with Old Town White Coffee’s managing director, Lee Siew Heng, in attendance.
World Champion Nicol David’s presence at the Launch and Press Conference warmed up the full capacity audience made up of invited guests and loads of onlookers hoping to catch a glimpse of Malaysia‘s most famous sports personality and the newly crowned champion of the CIMB Malaysian Open 2008 and CIMB Singapore Masters 2008.
The press tour of Old Town White Coffee to showcase the Café@banking facilities saw Nicol trying out the Web Stations together with CIMB Group chief executive Datuk Seri Nazir Razak. The easy-to-use Web Stations soon had Nicol busily browsing through CIMB’s Clicks, CIMB’s online banking site.
Embedded Wireless Labs’ Faizal Sanusi, Web Station Project Manager, was very pleased with the successful launch and complimented CIMB on their innovative approach to banking. He also expressed confidence in EWL’s partnership with CIMB and hopes to see further rolls out of the Web Station as CIMB’s Café@banking was a hit with customers.
CIMB Bank’s cafe© banking offers customers the convenience of banking at Old Town White Coffee café. The outlet at Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P. Ramlee, Kuala Lumpur, is equipped with three Web Stations with access to CIMB Clicks, the internet banking portal of the bank to enable customers to “eat & bank” in one convenient location. Self-service terminals (SST) comprising ATMs, cash deposit machines, cheque deposit machines are also available for conventional banking.
So customers could have their favourite roast and enjoy their meals with the added convenience of performing their banking transactions through the sleek, futuristic looking Web Stations or through CIMB’s regular banking facilities.
