PUTRAJAYA 9th June 2009 – Embedded Wireless Labs geared up for the third quarter by introducing prospective buyers to its new EWL-Phoenix Network Series high performance development platform and new F-Series Web Station model at the “Connected Government for 1Malaysia” National Information and Communication Technology (NICT) Conference in Putrajaya.
The inaugural ICT conference was held from 9th-11th June, 2009 at the stunning new Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) to enhance the use of ICT as the key enabler towards high levels of service delivery connecting the government to the people and businesses. The conference drew good partipation from key industry players and government agencies.
Delegates were drawn to the new F-Series model Web Station due to its additional value added features such as the 3-inch thermal printer and an industrial grade A4 printer as these opened up possibilities for e-Ticketing and complemented e-Government service delivery. The EWL marketing team were kept busy demonstrating the F-Series Web Stations business applications and showcasing its remote manager to prospective buyers.
Along with the F-Series Web Station, EWL also took the opportunity to introduce the Phoenix Series High Performance Development Platform at the conference. The EWL-Phoenix Network Series Development Platform is currently used in EWL’s WiMAX product, the Dragon CPE & WiFi AP.
The EWL-Phoenix Network Series Development Platform and the Dragon WiMAX CPE attracted strong interest from government and business sectors. Many visitors were impressed with the EWL-Phoenix Network Series Development Platform’s potential to function as an enterprise router as well as support WiMAX / WiFi /3G from a single platform
The event was organised for the first time by three government agencies, the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) showcased various panel discussions and business networking sessions. Tan Sri Sidek Hassan, the Chief Secretary to the government, was also present to open the conference and deliver the keynote address touching on the ways the government should adopt the ‘Gov 2.0’ concept.
