The Lab has been particularly busy these past couple of days.
The engineers have been walking around peering into their tablets and smart phones while streaming videos on YouTube and uploading photos into Flickr! Is this what happens when you set up a 3G network with our Gryphon 3G Router, hand over tablets to a couple of engineers and let them loose?
Yes but unfortunately it wasn’t purely for fun (try saying that to those who were viewing Shakira’s YouTube video over the 3G network). Our Usability/QC Group was in fact busy running final QOS user tests for signal strength and uplink/downlink speeds as all of us at EWL were gearing up for our Gryphon 3G Wireless Router’s first shipment to New Zealand,
Judging from the amount of videos they breezed through with downlink speeds closing in on its peak of 7.2Mbps and data uplink speeds ramping up to 2.0MBps, Bollywood video streaming must have been spiking on YouTube! The engineers had also been busy testing upload speed by uploading photos from their SLRs into photo sharing site Flickr.
We suspect a serious overload of cute baby pictures!
